The Iris SDR supports multiple SDR reference designs, including OpenAirInterface , GNU Radio, and the Rice University Argos Realtime Channel Measurement framework. All reference designs use the SoapySDR bindings.

The Pothosware project started in late 2013 with the goal of creating an open source dataflow framework. It is an integral part of the open source SDR ecosystem. The project now includes SoapySDR, a general framework for supporting SDR devices which has been widely adopted by the SDR community as a whole.
